Legal Terms & Venue Conditions
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of The Ivory Felt Poker Lounge & Grill’s website and physical premises at The Marble Parlour, including offline poker experiences, Texas Hold'em tournaments, social card room access, reservations, and dining.
1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and requirements for the use of The Ivory Felt Poker Lounge & Grill’s website and physical premises, operated as part of The Marble Parlour at The Marble Parlour. By accessing our website at https://themarbleparlour.com, browsing our offline poker content, reserving a poker table, registering for a Texas Hold'em tournament, or visiting our card room and restaurant, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Use of our digital platforms and entry to our venue is conditional on acceptance of these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Card Room Rules & FAQ. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should refrain from using the website, making a booking, or attending the venue.
2. Eligibility & Responsible Social Play
Access to The Ivory Felt Poker Lounge & Grill, including our poker tables, social card room, tournaments, and bar areas, is strictly limited to guests aged 18 years and over. By entering the premises or registering for an event, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Government-issued photo identification may be requested by our team on arrival or at any time during your visit, and must be produced on request.
We are committed to promoting a secure, refined and enjoyable environment that supports responsible social play. Our offline poker offering is designed around social Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha events, structured chip stacks, and clear blind structures using tournament chips and points, not real-money wagering. Guests are expected to manage their own time, comfort and level of participation and to seek assistance from staff if they feel uncomfortable with any aspect of play.
3. Venue Operations & Reservation Policy
Our offline poker lounge, card room operations, tournament schedule, and dining service operate subject to applicable Australian hospitality regulations, operational requirements, and venue capacity. Table bookings, tournament registrations, high roller suite reservations, and restaurant bookings are all subject to availability and may be prioritised or waitlisted at our discretion.
The Ivory Felt reserves the right to modify or adjust scheduled Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha events, blind structures, chip stack formats, dining offers, opening hours, or access conditions where required for operational, safety, staffing, or regulatory reasons. Where practical, significant changes to published tournament schedules or special events will be communicated through our Tournaments page or directly to registered guests using the contact details supplied at booking.
4. Poker Events & Tournament Participation
All poker tournaments and card room events at The Ivory Felt utilise structured tournament chips, chip stacks, blind levels, and point-based leaderboards. Events may include formats such as No-Limit Texas Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, deep stack series, bounty tournaments, and high roller invitational events, each governed by their own clearly communicated blind structure, starting stack and buy-in (in points, chips or entry fee) requirements.
No real-money cash wagering or monetary payouts occur on the premises. All play is conducted strictly under social card room rules using tournament chips and points only. Participants agree to follow our house standards, tournament rules, table etiquette and dealer directions at all times. Dealer decisions regarding chip counts, card exposure, blind structure enforcement, and table rulings are final for the purposes of tournament progression and chip leader determinations.
6. Private Events & High Roller Suite Terms
Corporate bookings, private poker events, and reservations for our high roller suites or private card rooms may require a signed event agreement in advance of the booking date. Such agreements may include minimum food and beverage commitments, chip-based entry formats, bespoke blind structures, or exclusive tournament use of specified poker tables and dealer teams.
Any exclusive tournament formats, seating plans, tailored blind structures, chip stack arrangements, dining inclusions, and bespoke menu designs for private or high roller events will be confirmed in writing prior to event commencement. By confirming a private booking, the organising guest or corporate contact agrees to the terms, minimum commitments, and cancellation policies outlined in the event agreement.
7. User Conduct & Venue Etiquette
All guests are expected to uphold respectful behaviour towards our staff, dealers and fellow patrons and to maintain the calm, sophisticated atmosphere of our offline poker lounge and dining spaces. This includes observing card room etiquette, refraining from abusive language, and following any reasonable directions given by our team in relation to safety, comfort, and tournament procedures.
Excessive intoxication, disruptive conduct, refusal to follow dealer rulings, interference with poker tables or chip stacks, or any behaviour that undermines the integrity of social play may result in refusal of service, tournament disqualification, or removal from the venue. Security cameras, access controls, and professional staff supervision are in place throughout the card room, bar, and dining areas to support a safe, welcoming and compliant environment.
8. Liability, Privacy & Legal Compliance
The Ivory Felt Poker Lounge & Grill and The Marble Parlour operate in accordance with applicable Australian laws, hospitality regulations, and social card room requirements. Guests attend, participate in tournaments, and move around the premises at their own risk and are responsible for their own belongings at all times. The venue does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or unattended personal property, nor does it mediate private disputes between guests.
